Tens of thousands protest in Tokyo the restart of nuclear power.

This is a critical time to contact the government in Japan.  Please. On Sunday they are scheduled to re-start the first nuclear power plant since the Fukushima  meltdown. We need a huge outcry internationally.   Here is the URL for sending an email to the Prime Minister of Japan.

All over Japan, reactors were slowly shutdown (for regular yearly inspections--something which is not done in the US, fyi ), following the tsunami, until not a single one was operating.  Today there were protests of 100,000 (more or less, depending on your news source) in Tokyo, against the re-starting of the reactors.  Go to the address above to send a comment to the Prime Minister of Japan.

The NY Times article about the protest is here.
This is a page from the forthcoming issue of
Kyoto Journal about alternatives to Nuclear Power
